Meet your Concussion PT
Hello I am Annie Howard, a concussion physical therapist with over a decade of experience working with people after traumatic brain injury.
In 2018, while ski mountaineering in Chile I took a fall and ended up with a concussion of my own.
For the following 9 months I experienced terrible headaches, light sensitivity, stuffy ears, brain fog, irritability, and more. I felt like an alien had invaded my body and not many people understood or knew how to help.
At that time I had been a concussion PT for 8 years and I was not getting better following traditional physical therapy models.
I delved into research and continuing education to learn NEW best practices for treating concussion symptoms. After applying what I learned I started to see immediate improvements.
After a few months I was able to work a full day as well as mountain bike and ski tour without intense headaches afterward. I was able to get back to being me.
I developed The Concussion Solution: Master Program to teach others how to get back to enjoying life.
